The Bid List
The current list of bids that have been entered into the system can be viewed under Jobs -> Bids in the top left navigation panel.
This list is sorted in descending order by the bid’s number and for each bid listed, we show the following high-level information so that a bid can be quickly identified without having to click on the bid to view its details:
- Bid Number
- Bid Status
- Job Type
- Bid Tags
- Billing Items (the bid’s top 5 billing items with the greatest rates)
Filtering The Bid List
By default this list will show all bids that have a status of either pending or approved but by using the available search filters, you can find bids based off different criteria.
The main Search filter let’s you search any detail of a bid including text that was entered in any of the bid’s note fields. It also supports searching for a specific phrase by wrapping the search term in quotes (“) or wild card searches by prepending or appending an asterisks (*) to the search term.
Search Filter Examples:
To find all bids that include Directional and MWD Services as a billing item type, enter “Directional and MWD Services”.
To find all bids that have have a billing item type that starts with the word inspection, enter Inspection*.
To find all bids that have Jason Bourne in the Message To Customer section, enter “Jason Bourne”.
To find all bids that have 2017 1st Quarter Pricing in the Internal Notes section, enter “2017 1st Quarter Pricing”.
Any searches that are peformed frequently can be bookmarked help so that they can be quickly and easily accessed.
Exporting The Bid List
Bids can also be exported help if you need to download a list of bids to perform futher analysis or import into a different program.
The export contains all bids that are part of the currently applied filters and displayed in the bid list. This gives the ability to customize exaclty what bids are in the export for different needs.
To export bids click on the Export Bids button on the top right of the page.
Currently the exports are available in the following formats.
A Microsoft Excel version that separates the Bid data into the following sheets:
- A Bids sheet that shows basic information for a bid.
- A Billing Item Types sheet that shows the billing item types and details for each of the bids.
A CSV version that contains the same information as the Microsoft Excel version but combines the Bids and Billing Item Types sheets into a single, large table.
